Overview
Section titled “Overview”Bring Your Own AI lets enterprise teams connect their own Azure OpenAI or Anthropic deployment to Bizby. When enabled, all AI features (summaries, rewrites, polls, affinity maps, and more) route through your organization’s endpoint instead of Bizby’s. Your prompts and responses stay within your Azure tenant.
Supported Providers
Section titled “Supported Providers”- Azure OpenAI Chat Completions for GPT models deployed via Azure OpenAI Service or Azure AI Foundry
- Anthropic Messages API for Claude models deployed via Azure AI Foundry
Bring Your Own AI is available on Enterprise plans only.
- Open Enterprise Settings and select the Bizby AI tab
- Toggle Custom AI enabled
- Select the API Format that matches your deployment
- Enter your Endpoint URL, API Key, and Deployment Name
- For Azure OpenAI, set the API Version (defaults to 2024-12-01-preview)
- Click Test Connection to verify
- Click Save
All Bizby AI features for your team will immediately start using your endpoint.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”When custom AI is enabled:
- All AI requests route through Bizby’s service in Montreal, Canada to your Azure endpoint
- AI-generated content is saved to your board like any other board data
- Bizby tracks usage for reporting but does not enforce limits. Your Azure subscription handles AI billing directly.
- If your endpoint is unavailable, Bizby automatically falls back to the default AI endpoint so users are not interrupted
Data Residency
Section titled “Data Residency”Bizby’s AI service runs in Montreal, Canada. To keep all data within Canadian borders, deploy your Azure OpenAI resource in Canada East or Canada Central. This ensures the entire data path stays within Canada.
Usage Tracking
Section titled “Usage Tracking”When using your own AI endpoint, the Billing and Usage page shows:
- Total credits used this period (for reporting)
- Usage breakdown by team
- No credit limits or progress bar (limits are not enforced)
Your Azure subscription handles the actual AI billing. Monitor costs in the Azure Portal.
Security
Section titled “Security”Your API key is stored in a separate Firestore document that only the team owner and platform admins can read. Regular team members cannot access the key.
