What's New

Stay up to date with the latest features and improvements to Bizby, listed by release date.

  • Two-Step Verification - On every plan, add an authenticator app to your account in Profile > Security, so signing in also asks for a six-digit code. Enterprise owners can require it for guests, and turn guests or share links off for the whole organization, under Enterprise Settings > Security > External access
  • Design in Claude setup - The Design in Claude section of the Kickstart panel now walks you through connecting Claude, with the connector address ready to copy, and shows Connected to Claude once you are set up (v2.1.55)
  • Export a Frame to CSV - Export everything written in a frame to CSV, with its voting results alongside (v2.1.54)
  • Google Workspace - Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Drive links become branded cards that work on private and organisation-restricted files, and documents a team has published to the web can sit on a board as live panels. You can also see at a glance that a board is connected and your changes are saved, and a failed import is recorded in the import log (v2.1.52)
  • Slack and Webhooks - Send audit events to Slack or your own webhook, and the audit trail now names who acted. Organisation insights opens every visit, reports activity accurately, and its tables sort and export. The guided tours are available in French (v2.1.51)
  • Board Filters - Filter boards by when they were last worked on, from Home or a workspace. Search can include boards in the trash, and starred boards are ordered by most recently updated (v2.1.50)
  • Audit Log to Microsoft Sentinel - Stream the audit log to Microsoft Sentinel or any SIEM, now with sign-in and member events. API keys are now called administration keys (v2.1.49)
  • Prototypes, Miro and Grids - Prototypes use real device sizes and can be saved as templates. Miro import brings large boards across more faithfully and explains what it can’t. Grids can import a CSV as sticky notes or text, and grid templates are now in French (v2.1.49)
  • Miro Import - Out of beta. Search your Miro boards, paste a board link, and boards filed in a Space now appear (v2.1.47)
  • French - The template library, the teams page, the board menus, board settings and the interactions menu are now in French, with accents and spacing corrected throughout (v2.1.47, v2.1.48)
  • Planning Summary - A new Planning summary panel shows how each planner on the board is tracking, and cards dropped into a Done column are marked done (v2.1.46)
  • PDF Export - Export the whole board or any selected region to PDF, not just frames. The page is shaped to the content, so nothing is cut across a page edge. Poll and dot vote results export to CSV (v2.1.45, v2.1.46)
  • Organisation Insights - Enterprise teams get an Insights tab in Team settings showing adoption, board activity, external sharing and idle boards, rebuilt nightly and exportable. Audit records can be read by an external SIEM through the administration API (v2.1.45)
  • FigJam Re-import - Importing a FigJam board again updates it in place, connector labels included, and imports keep table styling, label sizes, rotation and speech bubbles. Polygon shapes can now have rounded corners (v2.1.42 to v2.1.44)
  • Board History - The History tab in the Shapes panel records edits as you work, including changes made through a share link, with one line per template or calendar and a description of what each edit did. History is kept for 30 days, a cleared board can be restored from it, and deleting 25 or more objects, or half a board, now asks you to confirm first (v2.1.36 to v2.1.43)
  • Presentation Mode - Walk a board’s frames in order, and anyone on the board can join and follow along. The frame fills the screen, the rest goes dark, and the board stays live underneath so people can still comment, react and vote. The Presentation panel sets the order and hides frames you would rather skip, and you can hand over the presentation or take control if the presenter steps away (v2.1.34)
  • Enterprise Controls and Accessibility - Enterprise owners can switch AI off for the whole organisation in Team settings, and enterprise teams can automate joiners, movers and leavers with the provisioning API. Boards now read properly to a screen reader: every Bizby object says what it is and what it holds, in English and French (v2.1.33)
  • Design in Claude - Connect Claude to Bizby and have it build boards for you. Add https://mcp.bizby.ca/mcp in Claude’s Connectors settings, then describe a retrospective, a flowchart, a story map or a planner and it arrives on your canvas as real Bizby shapes: sticky stacks, frames, planners, process shapes, polls, and arrows bound to what they join. Nothing comes across as a picture, so you can edit all of it. Paste a board link and Claude adds to that board instead of making another, and each thing it draws gets a drawing id so you can revise just that piece later. Team+, and off until a team owner enables it in Team settings → Integrations (v2.1.32)
  • Large Sessions - Boards handle 100 or more people working at the same time without cursors stalling or people dropping off (v2.1.31)
  • Seats - Team owners see when people are collaborating on their boards without a seat, which board each person is on, and can add them to a seat in a couple of clicks from a refreshed Team settings page (v2.1.24, v2.1.25)
  • Frame Shape Filter - Work in “layers” without a layering system. Select a frame and the context toolbar’s Filter menu lists its contents by shape type, so you can select, show or hide, or lock or unlock a whole type at once. Hide every sticky note to focus on the diagram, or lock the background shapes while you rearrange. Hidden types stay in the list with a striped tint so you can bring them back, and the show/hide and lock state syncs to everyone and survives a reload (v2.1.22)
  • Refreshed Toolbar Icons - A cleaner, more consistent set of canvas toolbar icons, with each tool’s cursor matching its icon (v2.1.18)
  • FigJam Tables - FigJam tables import as Bizby grids, and the export plugin lists exactly which items will and won’t come across (v2.1.17)
  • FigJam Import - Bring a FigJam board into Bizby. The free FigJam Export to Bizby plugin is now published on the Figma Community. Open Import from → FigJam board, run the plugin in FigJam, paste the one-time code, and your board streams straight onto the canvas with its sections, sticky notes, text, connectors, lines, and images (v2.1.16)
  • Emoji Stamps - Stamp any emoji on the board for reactions, voting, and heat maps. Pin the Stamp tool from the toolbar’s + picker, pick an emoji (search the full set, or use Recent and Popular), and click to place it, and the tool stays active so you can keep stamping. Each stamp is a clean die-cut sticker you can resize, and hovering one shows who added it, with their name and avatar (v2.1.15)
  • Kickstart suggestions, regrouped - The Canvas Kickstart panel is simpler, with its suggestions grouped into Create, From an image, Act on a selection, and Ask (v2.1.14)
  • Templates Gallery - Templates got a proper home. The gallery at bizby.ca/templates lets you search by name, filter by category (Agile, Procurement, Strategy, Workshops, Diagramming, Onboarding), and sort by Popular, Newest, or A-Z. Each card shows its author, like count, and how many boards it has created, with a Bizby logo marking official templates. The in-app template picker is bigger too, showing views, uses, and likes on every template, letting you like one as you browse, and collecting your Liked Templates in their own sidebar panel (v2.1.6)
  • Speech Bubble Shape - The speech bubble is back with full styling (fill, border, text color, size, font, and corner radius) and a tail with grab handles that set where it points, where it attaches, and how wide it is (v2.1.4)
  • Grid AI Summarize - Select a grid and choose Summarize in the Kickstart panel to drop an editable recap of its contents beside it. The Kickstart panel also now gathers a selected shape’s AI actions into one tidy section that opens as you select it (v2.1.1)
  • Canvas and Dashboard Polish - Dragging a divider on a selected grid now resizes all rows or columns evenly (v2.1.8). Resizing several shapes at once scales them uniformly, so geos, notes, and text keep their relative sizes (v2.1.3). A version dot appears on your profile avatar when there is an update to read (v2.1.5). Duplicating a board now copies the original’s contents properly (v2.1.7), pasting a link creates a link card again (v2.1.2), and sticky notes and pasted shapes no longer lock up on top of a locked grid (v2.1.2)
  • Bizby Kickstart - Go from a blank canvas to a working board in seconds. Open a new board and the Kickstart panel greets you: describe what you are planning in plain language and Kickstart’s AI builds a structured, ready-to-edit board with the right shapes, columns, and connections already in place. Prefer a proven starting point? Kickstart also drops in a popular template, so no board has to begin from scratch. Reopen it anytime from the rocket button on the canvas (v2.1.0)
  • Content Widgets - Build a piece of content once and reuse it everywhere. The new Content Widget Canvas is a dedicated board for designing widgets as frames, documents, or planners; select one and click Publish to add it to your team’s Widget library. On any other board, open the Content Widgets panel, browse the library, and Insert a widget to place it. Edit the original and click Update to refresh every board the widget is used on, and a marker under each widget shows whether it is Published or still a Draft (v2.0.41)
  • Dashboard Search & Filter Tabs - Find things faster on the dashboard. A search box in the sidebar filters your workspaces and boards as you type, grouping results into Workspaces and Boards with each board showing its workspace; clear it to return to the normal nav. And the “Filter by” dropdown is now a row of one-click tabs (My boards, Shared with me, Shared with others), each with a quiet count so you can see how many boards are in each view at a glance (v2.0.40)
  • Planner AI - Bizby AI is now built into the Planner. Select a planner and open the Bizby AI menu for two actions: Draft a plan turns a goal you describe into a set of starter cards in the backlog, and Summarize planner produces an editable document beside the board with an overview, a per-column status list, and any risks and next steps. This release also adds a New badge on freshly imported backlog cards (it clears once you move or open the card), an on-canvas title you can rename, and a column wash that can use a single color or each column’s own (v2.0.39)
  • Slide Layouts - Build presentation-ready slides right on the board. The Frame tool now opens a gallery of PowerPoint-style layouts (Title Slide, Title and Content, Section Header, Two Content, Comparison, Title Only, Content with Caption, Picture with Caption, Blank) that drop a 16:9 slide frame pre-filled with an editable title and bullets — with real bullet and numbered lists in the text toolbar. Give slides a designed look with a background style (Facets, Tiles, Sweep, Minimal) and any built-in color; the accent and tint follow the frame’s color, so recoloring a slide re-themes it. Frames present as slides, so a few of these make a quick deck (v2.0.37)
  • Meeting Import - Turn a past meeting into a board. Open the Group Interactions menu and choose Meeting, then paste or upload the transcript your call already produced (Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom) — no bot joins the call and no meeting audio is sent to Bizby. Choose which sections to add (to-dos, decisions, themes, transcript, summary) and Bizby AI lays them out as cards alongside a tabbed Meeting Brief panel. Search across every meeting’s to-dos and decisions — including next steps and open questions — from the Meetings panel. Team+ feature (v2.0.36)
  • Planner - Plan and prioritize work right on the canvas. Add the Planner tool from the toolbar’s + picker and drop one onto the board, then pick a layout (Now · Next · Later, NNL + KPIs, MoSCoW, Kanban, RICE, or Blank). Each planner has a pinned Backlog for intake — search it, add cards inline, and import from Azure DevOps (by iteration, query, assigned-to-me, or WIQL, filtered by work-item type, with de-duping). Drag cards between columns, apply shared colored tags, reset a column back to the backlog, and tune everything (title, description, spacing, colors) from Settings (v2.0.30)
  • Personal & Team Templates - Publish any board as a reusable template, just for you (Personal) or for your whole team (Team, managed by owners and admins). Open the board’s main menu, choose Publish Template, pick where it lives, and describe it with guided sections that format into a clean preview. Your templates appear in the picker under their own avatar tab, where you can preview, use, edit, update from a board, star the canonical team ones to the top, and delete them — and each card shows how many boards it has created. Paid feature (v2.0.29)
  • Customizable Toolbar - Build the canvas toolbar around the tools you actually use. Click the + at the bottom of the toolbar to open the tool picker, then pin tools onto the bar, drag to reorder them, and unpin the ones you don’t need. The long-tail tools that used to live in the overflow menu (laser, highlight, line, card, document, calendar, comments, group interactions, icons, and more) are now first-class, pinnable buttons. Your layout saves automatically and follows you across boards and devices; Reset to default restores the standard bar anytime (v2.0.27)
  • Prototyping (Beta 1) - Build interactive screen flows directly on the canvas. Drop a Prototype frame, hit Design to enter a focused workspace, use the Add Screen row to add Mobile screens, drag UI-kit components from the side panel onto each screen, and draw arrows from any component to another screen to wire a transition (Instant, Fade, Slide L, Slide R). Preview plays the whole flow like a real app with a bottom pill chrome (back, hotspots, screen counter, exit). Tablet and Desktop device presets are wired but disabled until follow-up beta. Collaboration-safe: your Design view is local, peers continue to see the real frame size. Included on every plan during beta; priced as an add-on at GA (Beta 1)
  • Recover Deleted Shapes - A new Deleted tab in the Shapes panel lists shapes removed from the board — what was deleted, who deleted it, and when. Any editor can click Restore to bring shapes back (the board zooms to them); undoing or restoring a deletion drops it from the list. Deleted items are kept for 30 days (v2.0.23)
  • Process Shapes - A new Process tab in the shapes menu adds 20 Visio-style flowchart shapes: Process, Decision, Terminator, Document, Data, Predefined Process, Manual Input/Operation, Preparation, Connector, Off-Page Connector, Delay, Database, Stored Data, Display, Internal Storage, Card, Punched Tape, Merge, and Summing Junction. All standard shape styling applies and the context-toolbar dropdown lets you convert between process shapes in place (v2.0.22)
  • Notes & Tasks on Azure DevOps cards - Every ADO roadmap card has new Notes and Tasks tabs for Bizby-only annotations that don’t push to Azure DevOps. Notes use the same rich text editor as Board Notes and Documents. Tasks support inline edit, assignee picker, and check-off (v2.0.21)
  • Read-only Azure DevOps roadmaps - Create a roadmap in read-only mode to lock ADO writes (field edits, card drag between sprints) while keeping Notes and Tasks editable. A lock pill appears on the roadmap title bar. Useful for stakeholder-facing views of immutable DevOps data (v2.0.21)
  • Task assignment email notifications - When you assign someone to a task on an ADO card or a Decision Note action item, they get an email with a deep link that opens the board and zooms to the item. 30-second debounce prevents spam (v2.0.21)
  • Sticky Note Capture from Phone - Scan a QR from the sticky note menu, photograph a physical whiteboard from your phone, and Bizby’s AI extracts each sticky note’s text and color onto your board. Multi-photo uploads from your camera roll, Files, iCloud, or Google Drive. New batches auto-stagger so multi-photo runs form a tidy row, and panning the desktop canvas between uploads drops the next batch at your current view (v2.0.19)
  • Azure DevOps Integration - Pull Azure DevOps work items onto boards as roadmaps, link cards to live ADO items, and push edits back without leaving the canvas. Team owners enable the integration in Team Settings, then each member connects their own Microsoft account from their Profile page so their personal Azure DevOps permissions apply (v2.0.19)
  • PowerPoint Import - Drop a .pptx onto the canvas and Bizby brings the whole deck in as a single slide-deck shape. Slides stream in as they render so you can start working before the deck finishes loading. Navigate, download the original .pptx, or export the currently shown slide as PNG or SVG from the floating toolbar (v2.0.16)
  • Caret Color in Dark Shapes - When editing text inside a dark-filled shape, the cursor now matches the text color so you can actually see where you’re typing (v2.0.16)
  • Auto / Manual Text Size Toggle Removed - The Auto/Manual text-size toggle introduced in 2.0.14 has been removed. Shapes with text are back to standard text-resize behaviour for a more reliable experience across creating, typing, resizing, and editing (v2.0.16)
  • Sticky Note Stacks Scaling - Preview text on a stack now scales properly with the stack’s size (no more tiny text on enlarged stacks), stacks can be resized smaller than the default (down to about half the default width), and the auto-fit shrinks single words rather than breaking them mid-character (v2.0.15)
  • Bring Your Own AI - Enterprise teams can connect their own Azure OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude) endpoint. All AI features route through the custom endpoint with automatic fallback. Configure in Enterprise Settings under the Bizby AI tab (v2.0.2)
  • Text Highlight and Color - Select text in any text object and apply highlight in any color, or change the color of selected text using the label color picker (v2.0.1)
  • Duplicate Board - Board owners and team admins can duplicate any board with full content from the board card menu (v2.0.1)
  • Document Shape - Create rich text documents directly on the canvas with headings, bold, italic, task lists, text color, links, and more. Documents auto-grow vertically to fit content and scale proportionally when resized (v2.0.0)
  • Documents Panel - View all documents on the current board in one place, click any entry to navigate directly to it (v2.0.0)
  • Improved Miro Import - Dot voting panels, widget stacks, checklists, and app cards with assignee resolution now import with improved fidelity (v2.0.0)
  • Permanent Delete for Free/Team Plans - Boards on Free and Team plans are now permanently deleted instead of moved to trash (v2.0.0)
  • Card Component - Create cards on the canvas with inline title editing, status tracking (To Do, In Progress, Done), assignee, dates, and rich text descriptions. Cards can be dragged into grid cells (v1.9.4)
  • Interactive Questions Preview - Questions menu now shows preview illustrations on hover for each question type, making it easier to pick the right interaction (v1.9.4)
  • Grid Component - Create structured tables and grids on the canvas with customizable rows, columns, cell styling, and border options. Drag shapes into cells, resize columns and rows, and format cells with colors and text alignment. Choose from templates (RACI, SWOT, Budget, Comparison) or start from scratch (v1.9.3)
  • Priority Matrix Improvements - Dedicated setup layout with getting started instructions, import-from-selected workflow, and compact axis/scale controls. All question types now include a getting started banner and default to no timer (v1.9.3)
  • Priority Matrix - New 2×2 matrix question type for prioritization. Participants rate initiatives on two axes (e.g. Effort vs Impact) from their phone, and results are plotted live on a customizable quadrant chart. Includes draggable pill labels, configurable dot shapes/colors, and quadrant customization (v1.9.2)
  • Interactive Questions Menu - All interactive question types (Word Cloud, Yes/No, Rating, Priority Matrix, Poll, Dot Voting) are now grouped under a dedicated toolbar button with a submenu, each with its own icon and cursor. Question types have been removed from the More Tools menu for a cleaner layout (v1.9.2)
  • Questions - Word Cloud, Yes/No & Rating - Interactive question shapes for audience engagement. Add word cloud, yes/no, or rating questions to your board, share a QR code or link, and collect live responses from participants on their phones. Word clouds include density control and SVG export. Results cards show live percentages and averages (v1.9.0)
  • Presence Menu - Redesigned people menu with search-by-name filtering, user role labels (Board Owner/Editor/Viewer), selective “bring to me” summoning with per-user checkboxes, and improved scroll handling for boards with many collaborators (v1.8.7)
  • Read-Only Share Links for Team - Team plan users can now share boards via link with viewer access - no account required. Recipients can view the board instantly in their browser without a Bizby account. Team+ continues to support both viewer and editor share links plus guest invites (v1.8.6)
  • 23 New Feature Docs - Added dedicated documentation pages for all features in the feature catalog, including Infinite Canvas, Real-time Collaboration, Drawing Tools, Templates, Workspaces, and more
  • Board Search & Shape Filtering - Press Cmd+F to open the Shapes panel and search shapes by name or text content. Click the funnel icon to filter by shape type (sticky notes, frames, text, etc.) with counts for each type. Use “Select all” to bulk-select every shape matching the active filter (v1.8.5)
  • Trash for Deleted Boards - Deleted boards are now soft-deleted and moved to Trash instead of being permanently removed. Boards in Trash are automatically purged after 30 days. Board owners can restore or permanently delete individual boards, or use “Empty Trash” to clear all trashed boards at once. Available for Team+ and Enterprise plans, accessible from the profile menu (v1.8.4)
  • Team+ Guest Access for Share Links - Team+ boards now support anonymous share link access, allowing anyone with the link to access the board without needing a Bizby account. Board owners can set share links to grant viewer or editor access. The share dialog has been updated to clearly distinguish between public share links and team/guest invite links (v1.8.3)
  • Image & Timer Fixes - Fixed image creation from the icon panel where images would render as a gray icon, fixed image replacement on the canvas, and fixed the timer notification sound that was repeatedly firing instead of playing once (v1.8.2)
  • Board Notes Panel - A rich text editor on the right side of the canvas for free-form board-level notes. Includes a formatting toolbar with headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, bullet lists, ordered lists, task lists with checkboxes, text color, highlight, and links. Notes sync in real time across collaborators and can be exported directly to PDF (v1.8.1)
  • Miro Board Import - Import Miro boards into Bizby with full support for shapes, connectors, frames, images, edge-accurate connection points, line styles, and colors. Import results are automatically logged to Board Notes (v1.8.1)
  • Mural Board Import (Beta) - Import Mural boards into Bizby with support for sticky notes, text widgets, shapes, arrows/connectors, and images. Text colors are preserved from HTML inline styles, and images are proxied through the server to avoid CORS restrictions. Import results are automatically logged to Board Notes (v1.8.1)
  • Expanded Icon Libraries - Added Phosphor Icons (1,500+), OpenMoji emojis (2,400+), Mega Doodles (160 illustrations), and unDraw (1,000+ illustrations) accessible from the icons menu tabs (v1.7.6)
