Customizable Toolbar

Overview

Section titled “Overview”

Make the canvas toolbar your own. Pin the tools you reach for most, drag them into the order you like, and hide the ones you never use. Your layout saves automatically and follows you across boards and devices.

Key Features

Section titled “Key Features”
  • Pin & Unpin — Click the + at the bottom of the toolbar to open the tool picker, then add or remove any tool
  • Drag to Reorder — Drag any tool on the bar to reposition it; the rest slide out of the way
  • Everything’s a Tool — Tools that used to be buried in the overflow menu — laser, highlight, line, card, document, calendar, comments, group interactions, and icons — are now first-class, pinnable buttons
  • Searchable Picker — Find a tool by name and see it grouped by category (Basic, Draw, Content, Collaborate)
  • Saved Per User — Your toolbar layout persists across sessions, boards, and devices
  • Reset to Default — Restore the standard toolbar at any time from the picker

How to Use

Section titled “How to Use”
  1. Click the + button at the bottom of the canvas toolbar
  2. In the picker, click a tool’s pin to add it to the bar, or click a pinned tool to remove it
  3. On the bar, drag any tool up or down to reorder
  4. Click anywhere outside the picker to close it
  5. To start over, open the picker and choose Reset to default

Notes

Section titled “Notes”
  • The Select (pointer) tool always stays on the bar so it can never be emptied.
  • Basic and process shapes still live in the Shapes menu — pin the Shapes button to keep it one click away.
