Board Notes gives every board a dedicated rich text editor panel on the right side of the canvas. Use it for meeting notes, action items, context, or anything you want to capture alongside your visual content. Notes sync in real time across all collaborators and persist with the board.

  1. Open a Bizby board and click the Board Notes button on the right side of the top bar, next to the share panel
  2. The notes panel slides open on the right side of the canvas

The panel can coexist with any left-side panel (Shapes, Comments, Version Control, Decision Notes), so you can reference notes while working with other tools.

Select any text to reveal a floating toolbar with:

  • Headings — H1, H2, H3, and normal paragraph
  • Bold, Italic, Strikethrough
  • Bullet Lists and Ordered Lists
  • Task Lists — Checkboxes that track completion
  • Text Color — Choose from preset colors
  • Highlight — Yellow highlight for emphasis
  • Links — Add clickable URLs to text

Create task lists with interactive checkboxes directly in your notes. Check items off as they’re completed — checked items show with strikethrough styling. Task lists support nesting for subtasks.

Notes sync instantly across all collaborators viewing the same board. When one person types, everyone else sees the changes in real time — just like the canvas itself.

Click the PDF export button in the panel header to generate a formatted PDF of your notes. The export:

  • Renders notes with full formatting (headings, lists, colors, links)
  • Automatically splits long content across multiple US Letter pages
  • Downloads the PDF with the board name as the filename

When you import a Miro board, a summary is automatically logged to Board Notes with:

  • The board name and import date
  • Per-type counts of imported items (sticky notes, shapes, frames, etc.)
  • Counts of any skipped or unsupported items

This gives your team an at-a-glance record of what was imported.

Drag the left edge of the panel to resize it. The panel supports widths from 320px to 640px, with a default of 360px.
